Christmas Tree Lighting 2007
 The Great Hill Hose Company Annual Christmas Tree lighting will be held TONIGHT (December 2nd) at 6:00 PM. Be sure to stop by and have some cocoa with Santa and help him light the Christmas tree.
Also, on December 23, look for Santa in your neighborhood. He and his helpers will be giving out popcorn balls and candy canes to all the children.

2006 Firefighters’ Convention
On Sunday, September 17, the Great Hill Hose Company attended the 2006 Firefighters Convention held in Ansonia, Derby and Shelton. The Great Hill Hose Company was awarded trophy for Best Appearing Tanker with our 1994 Peterbilt Tanker and Best Appearing Company (15 or less.) The parade line-up was lead by our 5 person Color Guard followed by our own Drum Line. Captain Dale Cann, Lieutenant James Wasiliewski and Fire Commissioner Ugo Zullo lead the line of march which included the Ladies Auxiliary. The apparatus in the Convention parade was our 2004 Peterbilt Pumper, followed by our award winning 1994 Peterbuilt Tanker and followed ultimately by our original 1949 Dodge Seagrave. Seymour's Bravest battle Fire in Century Old Church
SEYMOUR, CT - Firefighters responded from Seymour, Oxford, Beacon Falls and Ansonia to fight a working church fire located at 90 Pearl St. in Seymour at 4:00pm on October 16, 2006. The Seymour United Methodist Church was built in 1891 and is a historic landmark in the Town of Seymour.

RIT Training held in Seymour
On Sunday, November 5, 2006, members of the Great Hill Hose Company and Citizen's Engine Company had refresher training for the Rapid Intervention Team. The training was held at the newly renovated Great Hill Hose Training Tower.
